There are 30 new cancer diagnoses in South Australia every day. That’s more than 11,000 South Australians every year. Your support will help me change this terrible statistic.

Every dollar I raise through the Marilyn Jetty Swim will fund Cancer Council SA’s vital research, prevention programs and support services, like Cancer Council 13 11 20, for all South Australians impacted by cancer.

Sunday 26th Jan
… until we pop on our white swimsuits, blonde wigs, and jiggle down Jetty Rd Brighton, then paddle around the Jetty. 

I’m not watching and cheering this year, 
I’m doing.  This is a life-affirming commitment.. 
get out of my comfort zone, do something positive, join in with a cause bigger than myself, and raise some funds, that will help add  to the life of someone impacted by cancer.

There are over 700 of us this year & the Marilyns 2025 goal is to raise $400,000 !!

Cancer sucks!

I was chatting to friends this week and again it struck me how many of us know someone who received a cancer diagnosis, who bravely fought cancer with treatment, or sadly passed away. 
IT doesn’t choose. 
It turns life upside down. 
So some fun loving friends and I are endeavouring to make a difference in our world,  by joining the Jetty Swim, dressed as Marilyn Monroe. 
No doubt there will be plenty of giggles on the day, a little trepidation and a fun splash around the Brighton Jetty with the help of an Aussie swim Ring. 
The laughs mask the gut-wrenching reality, that so many get diagnosed and their reality is ultimately changed because of cancer.  
That sucks.

Love to have a few friends and colleagues on board…. 
Getting dressed up as Marilyn, in white swimmers and blonde wig, glasses and of course the swim ring, will be so much more fun with a few others to laugh and share the experience. 
I know a few people are “thinking about it”, 
hope you’ll make the leap onboard!
