Hi all,

To those who have sponsored us, thank you SO much! We are currently the 5th highest fundraising team in this year’s event - totally unexpected, and we are so very grateful for everyone’s support and the amazing impact you will all have. Let’s keep us on the leaderboard!

We chose the name ‘Roses from Joe’ because, as the story goes, Joe DiMaggio, Marilyn Monroe’s  ex husband, continued to place roses on her grave many years after her passing. It speaks to the legacy so many people leave behind, and the impact so many individuals have on others. It also shows the undying love and devotion we have to those lost to cancer, regardless of our relationship with them, and our desire to reach out and show that love to them and their families during the journey and in those situations after the battle is lost. Roses From Joe is our team members’ desire to place metaphorical roses at the feet of those we have lost, those who are fighting or will fight, and the families and friends of those touched by cancer - to say we see you, we love you, and we honor you. Xx

1 in 2 Australian's will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85. Your support will help us change this terrible statistic and also assist the 28 South Australian's diagnosed with cancer every day and their families.

Every dollar raised will help Cancer Council SA invest in ground-breaking cancer research, empower people to reduce their own risk with prevention education, and provide essential support to everyone impacted by cancer.
